Enhancing Opportunities to Thrive
When individuals have opportunities to thrive, they transform themselves and their communities.
What We Do
Our Mission
The Bedford Falls Foundation is committed to removing financial impediments to a high-quality nursing education and supporting our educational partners in addressing the critical nursing workforce shortage.
We also support Washington, D.C. and Nashua, NH area health and human service organizations that stabilize at-risk populations by ensuring their basic needs are met and provide opportunities for sustainable, living-wage employment.
What We Support
We invest in organizations that provide opportunities for individuals to grow and thrive.

Nurses & Nursing
We invest in nursing to remove barriers to stable and fulfilling employment, thereby improving individual lives and enhancing the health of our nation.

Health & Human Services
We support organizations that provide healthcare, housing, and food to vulnerable populations and offer pathways to economic stability.
Community Impact
Since 1997, the Conways, directly and through the Foundation and the donor advised fund that it controls, have distributed more than $408 million and committed another $190M, 62% directed toward nursing education launching thousands of nursing careers, 36% toward health and human services supporting basic needs and pathways to economic stability, and previously 2% towards the arts (which is no longer a funding priority).

Collaborating with Us
We strongly believe in relationship-based philanthropy rooted in long-term grantee partnerships. Before we fund, we invest substantial time in understanding a potential grantee’s needs and strategic vision and how it aligns with our vision and priorities.
