Mission Statement

When discussing our nursing funding, please use the following mission statement to describe our work: To remove barriers to a high-quality nursing education and address the critical nursing workforce shortage.
When discussing our health and human services funding, please use the following mission statement to describe our work: To support Washington, D.C. area health and human services organizations that stabilize at-risk populations by ensuring basic needs are met and provide opportunities for economic stability.

When referencing the foundation, please use the naming convention: “Bedford Falls Foundation” for all references.
When referencing the donor advised fund that the foundation advises, please use the naming convention: “Bedford Falls Foundation-DAF” for all references.
When referencing our founders, please use the following naming conventions:
- For individual references to Mr. Conway, use “Bill Conway, Jr.” for the initial reference and then “Bill Conway” for all subsequent references.
- For individual references to Mrs. Conway, use “Joanne Barkett Conway” for all references.
- For joint references to Mr. and Mrs. Conway, use “Bill and Joanne Conway”.
