Why Nursing Education?

Sparked by the belief that people who can get a nursing degree can always get a job, we prioritize nursing education as a powerful way to create opportunities for stable, gainful, and personally fulfilling employment.

For more than 20 years, nursing has been named the most trusted profession in the United States and demand for nurses only continues to grow. Nurses play critical roles at every level of health care from hospitals to community clinics; from schools to nursing homes; from workplaces to prisons; and from research labs to governmental agencies.

Nurses are essential to our nation’s health. When we support students who want to get a nursing degree, we enable them to support themselves, their families, and ultimately the rest of us.”

Bill Conway Jr.

As key members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams, nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system. They serve on the front lines, coordinating care and communicating with patients and their families. Frequently, nurses are the only healthcare providers who care for those with the greatest need and the least access to healthcare. When there are more nurses everywhere and at every level of nursing, our country will be better prepared to meet its growing healthcare demands.
